Rain didn’t dampen the spirit of hundreds of staff and their families who turned out to enjoy a great day of fun, food and celebration during the Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center Friends and Family Day at Patriot Place last month.
“It was a fantastic day that highlighted the commitment and wonderful teamwork that we have developed since our opening,” said Cynthia Peterson, MBA, administrative director.
Staff and their families had the opportunity to walk and take photos on the field at Gillette Stadium where the three-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots play. The team’s mascot, Pat the Patriot, was a big hit with children and adults, and volunteers from a local school helped entertain children with games and magic, said Peterson.
In addition, raffles to support the Boston Heart Walk boosted the Team Foxborough fund-raising total almost to the $4,000 mark.
Physicians, nurses, technicians and operations and support staff enjoyed the event. “Six months ago, we celebrated the people that made this building possible, and this event gave us the opportunity to celebrate the group that makes our center an ongoing success: our phenomenal team and their friends and family,” she said.
