We asked for it, and you delivered. In response to an employee flu vaccine slogan contest, BWHers from throughout the hospital sent in nearly 170 smart, creative and witty slogans to inspire employees to receive their seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccines this season.
After much contemplation and spirited deliberation, the Employee Flu Vaccine Committee settled on the suggestion of Michael John Conrad, a research assistant in the Chemistry Lab:
BWH Community Immunity.
The slogan states simply the goal of the entire flu vaccination program and promotes the hospital-wide effort, applying to staff, visitors and patients.
“Michael’s suggestion really delivers the BWH message clearly and in a catchy way,” said Joanna Krasinski, MSN, ANP-BC, COHN-S, director of Occupational Health. “We thank everyone who took the time to submit a slogan. It was not an easy decision, and we are extremely pleased with how many of you participated and shared your good ideas to help us make the flu vaccine program a success.”
Many of the other entries will be used throughout the campaign to complement BWH Community Immunity.
