In recognition of National CPR/AED Week, the BWH Emergency Response Committee reminds you that bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation, early defibrillation and STAT activation of the BWH Code Blue Team in the initial minutes of a cardiac arrest are critical for survival in patients. Familiarize yourself with the Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in your area. Anybody can use an AED. Training and certification in basic and/or advanced cardiac life support is available at the Center for Nursing Excellence and STRATUS.

The Lee Bell Breast Imaging Center will open Saturday, June 27, to provide screening mammograms to BWH female employees 40 years or older whose last mammogram was 12 or more months ago and who do not have current breast health issues or changes. The exam takes 20 minutes, and Robyn Birdwell, MD, will read all screening mammograms taken that day. Call 617-525-8684 to reserve an appointment for June 27 or to schedule another time.
On June 8, the Occupational Health Services Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure Clinic moves from its current location on PBB 1 to Neville House, Suite 104. The telephone number is 617-732-6034; the STIK beeper # is the same #3-STIK (37845). Other operational functions remain in place.
