Robin O’Hearn Pataki last month was promoted to director of Revenue Operations within BWH Finance.
“Robin will successfully lead BWH to and through the next evolution of the Patient Business process, currently experiencing significant change from both governmental and private payor organizations,” said Anthony Autori, executive director of Patient Business Systems.
O’Hearn Pataki’s department provides hospital-wide support regarding revenue generating business practices and recommends operational efficiencies that will improve financial performance. During the coming fiscal year, the department will focus on billing issues related to revenue system enhancements, claim edits, claim denials by payers and late charges.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to bring a collaborative effort to enhancing our overall BWH revenue cycle,” said O’Hearn Pataki, who previously was an administrator in Finance. “Our plan is to better assist clinics, ambulatory centers and the inpatient charge capture process, utilizing root-cause analysis and process redesign.”
Prior to joining BWH in 2003, O’Hearn Pataki was a member of the PCHI Contracting Team as a senior contract specialist and also worked at the Massachusetts Division of Medical Assistance, providing financial analysis and reconciliations for Medicaid’s Managed Care Contracts.
O’Hearn Pataki earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Connecticut and her master’s degree in public administration of health care from Suffolk University.
