For the 10th straight year, Partners HealthCare System was ranked among the 100 most wired hospitals by Hospitals and Health Networks (H&HN), a publication of the American Hospital Association. The list is based on the Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study. Participating hospitals report on how they use information technology to address five key areas: safety and quality, customer service, business processes, workforce and public health and safety.
Partners HealthCare is one of only six organizations in the country to secure a spot on this list in all 10 years of the AHA’s Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study.
H&HN’s analysis of its “Most Wired” data finds that patients at top technology hospitals have a better overall assessment of their care and that the 100 Most Wired hospitals have better outcomes on a variety of quality measures. This is the strongest evidence in the 10-year history of H&HN’s Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study that information technology makes a difference in both the patient experience and the quality of care.
