BWHers are invited to reflect on the impact of domestic violence at the “Honoring Survivors” service on Oct. 2, at 10 a.m., in the Bornstein Amphitheater. Diane Patrick, the First Lady of Massachusetts, will attend the event, and Voices Rising will provide music. On Oct. 10, Juan Carlos Arean, of the Family Violence Prevention Fund, will show and discuss the DVD “Something My Father Would Do: Overcoming Legacies of Family Violence,” at 10 a.m. in Carrie Hall.

If you’re in a bind and need to find alternate child care, call the BWH Backup Child Care Center. Fully trained teachers have fun activities for children ages eight weeks to 12 years in a new state-of-the-art center. Stop by to tour the center, meet the staff and introduce your kids by calling Director Christine Clarke at ext. 2-9543.
Allied health professionals are invited to sign up for a basic medical terminology course to learn to analyze, decipher, spell and pronounce medical terms beginning Sept. 24.
