Boston MedFlight celebrated 20 years of critical care transport service last month with a gala event at the Boston Seaport Hotel. The event drew 450 friends and benefactors and raised more than $270,000 for the non-profit emergency medical agency launched by a consortium of Boston hospitals including BWH.
“Boston MedFlight is often the difference between life and death for someone who suffers a debilitating injury, and this agency plays a vital role in making sure patients who need emergency care receive it,” said Jonathan D. Gates, MD, director of the Division of Trauma, Burn and Critical Care in the Department of Surgery.
