New Shuttle Stop
Town Meeting Issue Gets Addressed As a result of a discussion at the last Town Meeting on June 20, a new stop has been added to the regular route of the Longwood Express shuttle with service to and from the Ruggles MBTA station. Effective Monday, August 14, a stop on Avenue Louis Pasteur (near Longwood Ave.) has been added during the afternoon operating hours. “At the Town Meeting we learned that employees who work at 221 Longwood Avenue sometimes have a difficult time catching the shuttle because stops were quite a distance away from the building. The additional stop should now make their afternoon commute a bit easier,” said Charlie Skulte, director of Security and Parking at BWH. The Longwood Express shuttle runs every fifteen minutes from Ruggles Station to the Longwood Medical Area from 6 to 8:45 a.m., and then from LMA to Ruggles from 3 to 5:45 p.m. Its morning route has scheduled stops at Ruggles, Vanderbilt Hall, 333 Longwood, Brookline Ave. and Francis St., while its afternoon route stops at BIDMC West Campus, Francis St., Children’s Hospital, Avenue Louis Pasteur and Ruggles. If you have any questions, call MASCO at 632-2800.
