John A. Mannick, MD, chief of Surgery, Emeritus at BWH and the Moseley Distinguished Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, has received the Scientific Achievement Award, the Shock Society’s highest honor for research accomplishment. The award was presented to Dr. Mannick at the society’s annual meeting in June. The award recognizes his many years of research on the immune consequences of injury.
