Minority Mentorship Program
The Minority Mentorship Program pairs a junior or senior year minority nursing student with an experienced registered nurse for a nine-week paid internship. The ten students who are selected for the program will be oriented to the role of Patient Care Assistant during a one-week central orientation. The remaining eight-weeks will be spent on an assigned unit. Throughout the nine weeks, participants will attend conferences/inservices as well as observe and interact with staff from various departments. The program runs from June 17, 2002 until August 16, 2002. All applications must be submitted by April 2, 2002. For more information, contact Jacinta Telesford-Ximba, RN at ext. 2-5496.
