BWH welcomes two new appointees to the Chaplaincy Services staff. Kathleen Gallivan, SND, PhD, will join the staff as Chaplaincy’s new director and Ron Hindelang, PhD, as coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Neither Gallivan nor Hindelang are newcomers to BWH. Both have been part of the hospital community and will continue to serve our patients and their families with their proven dedication and commitment.
Gallivan has many years of pastoral ministry experience prior to her start at BWH in 2002. She has served as the interim director of Chaplaincy since January 2003. She is a certified chaplain, CPE supervisor, a licensed psychologist and a sister of Notre Dame. Hindelang has been at BWH since 1996 and has many years of experience as a spiritual caregiver and a certified supervisor by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
“Their experience ministering in a hospital setting, hospice programs, parishes and retreat centers are great assets to our staff,” said Leo Buckley, director of Business Services, BWH Patient Care Services. “I hope all staff will join me in congratulating Kathy and Ron on their new roles.”
