The 75 Francis Street Lobby is presently the stage for a nationwide traveling exhibit that honors the men and women who dedicated their lives to Orthopedic Surgery during World War II. The exhibit entitled “The Legacy of Heroes,” highlights and acknowledges great achievements made in the treatment of orthopedic trauma during the war. New innovations involving hand surgery, prosthetics and spine surgery were developed and identified, as surgeons of that era continued to care for the thousands of casualties that took place during the war. All are welcome to enjoy the display in BWH’s Main Lobby.
