On the morning of Jan. 21, BWHers gathered in Bornstein Amphitheater for the hospital’s celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Take a look at some of the event’s highlights.
10:06 a.m: BWH President Betsy Nabel, MD, welcomes attendees to the celebration and introduces Association of Multicultural Members of Partners Chair Sandra Jarrett, event organizer.
10:15 a.m.: Gary Lyon (center) and Living Water treated attendees to an inspired concert of Gospel songs.
10:38 a.m.: BWHers clapped along to the beautiful music.
10:30 a.m.: First graders from Orchard Gardens Elementary School in Boston performed a passionate recitation of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" address. Guided by their teacher Mrs. White-Dottin, the students have also presented the address to Gov. Deval Patrick and President Barack Obama. View a video of the recitation.
