Having completed a four-week training course in state-of-the-art medical simulation techniques at BWH’s STRATUS Center, Kazakh Trauma Surgeon Vladimir Kachalov, MD, at left, shared his new knowledge with paramedics Paul Farmer and Pamela Holmes from Foxborough Fire and Rescue. Kachalov returned to Kazakhstan May 23 to accept a position as a physician-instructor at a new medical simulation center. Scheduled to open in July, the simulation center in Astana, Kazakhstan, will be modeled after the STRATUS Center at BWH.
