Six BWHers shared their professional stories with a cadre of area college students last week, as the hospital hosted “Hub Crawl: Life Sciences,” a panel discussion organized in cooperation with Boston Chamber of Commerce.
“I have the best job in the world, and I'm sure we all feel that way about our jobs,” said Michael Jackson, an educator in BWH's Respiratory Care Services. “We can see we're making a difference every day.”
Jackson and the other panelists took part in the hour-long presentation and question and answer session with the science majors from several city schools including Boston College, Suffolk University, Tufts, Northeastern, Harvard, Emmanuel and Boston University.
The BWH Hub Crawl was the second in a series of industry-specific career networking events organized by the Boston Chamber of Commerce. “These events help connect college students to the city's top employers like Partners HealthCare and Brigham and Women's Hospital,” said Laura Cleveland of the Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Beverley Sobers, manager of workforce development, BWH Human Resources, coordinated the event. BWH hosted the first such event in the city for science majors.
