Partners HealthCare congratulates the Information Systems staff for its Computerworld Honors recognition of outstanding performance on the Newborn ICU Order Entry project. The NICU was the last area to be added to BWH's renowned computerized order entry system.
The Computerworld Honors Medal of Achievement is presented annually to individuals, who have demonstrated remarkable advancement for society through the use of information technology visuals. As part of the recognition, the NICU project is now used as a case study made available to the public and archived in libraries, museums, and research institutions around the world.
“It is a privilege to have BWH included in the Computerworld Honors Program 2003 Collection,” said Lynn Sanville, the Information Systems NICU project manager. “Learning and sharing knowledge among our peers can only result in the creation of better information technology solutions.”
“The addition of NICU applications completes inpatient order entry at BWH. The availability of this technology for our tiniest patients is a significant accomplishment,” said Sue Schade, chief information officer, BWH. “BWH continues to lead the way within the health care industry with its focus on patient safety through order entry.”
