Louis Zani, sign maker in the Engineering Department at BWH, passed away at his home in Arlington on March 7. Zani has been employed at BWH since 1979. He was a service mechanic in the Engineering Department from 1979 to 1996, when he became the department’s sign maker. “Lou was kind of a private individual, but he really enjoyed coming to BWH every day and spending time with the people he worked with,” said Wally Gleeson, service mechanics supervisor, Engineering Department. “He liked the fact that making signs and installing them gave him a chance to interact with the rest of the hospital community. Lou will be sorely missed in our department and throughout the hospital.”
