BWH Nurses among March of Dimes Honorees
Allison Webster, BSN, RN, of CWN-8, and Kathleen Murphy, PNP, of the NICU, were among the 41 state finalists honored at the first annual Massachusetts March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards Dec. 5. Kate Gregory, PhD, RN, Haley Nurse Scientist and assistant professor at the William Connell School of Nursing Boston College, received the Nurse of the Year Award in the Nurse Scientist/Nurse Researcher category.
The March of Dimes Massachusetts Chapter’s Nurse of the Year Awards honor the contributions of nurses in Massachusetts who have demonstrated excellence in nursing and who contribute to the health and well-being of the Commonwealth over the course of their lives by providing care, comfort and support during various health care experiences.
Awards were given in seven nursing categories including advanced practice, community health/public health, education, neonatal, nurse researcher/administration, pediatric/family medicine and women’s health.
