10th Annual Thomson Awards Ceremony
Miriam Mahler, CNM, MPH, program director of the BWH Midwifery program in the Department of OB/GYN and Nursing, is this year’s Thomson Compassionate Leadership Award recipient. The 2009 Long-term Compassionate Achievement Award winner is J. Stephan Bohan, MD, MSc, executive vice chair, Department of Emergency Medicine. The Thomson Compassionate Care Scholarships went to Carrie Braverman, LICSW, to develop a peer support program for HIV-positive patients; and to the team of Yvonne Michaud, RN, MSN, Trauma Program manager, and Charlene Palmer, MA, Trauma Program administrative assistant, for their “Handbook for Trauma Patients and Their Families.”
Honor these recipients at the Thomson Leadership Awards ceremony June 3, 4 p.m., in the Bornstein Amphitheater. A reception will follow in the Peter Bent Brigham Rotunda.
