Sharon Rodriguez, RN, assistant nurse manager in the General Medical Service, has been named a BWH/Partners Greater Boston YMCA Black Achiever. The YMCA program is dedicated to recognizing the professional and community-based achievements of black men and women throughout the Boston area. Further it links these individuals to their communities as role models and mentors. At BWH, Sharon was the first Nurse Management Diversity Fellow. In this role, Sharon has lead a number of efforts in the Nursing Department, including the Minority Mentorship Nursing Student Program, University Recruitment Liaison, Chair of the Recruitment & Retention Committee, and presenter at the Association of Nurse Executives conference. Sharon is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Nursing Administration.
