Meet Yvonne Allen

Town Meeting
In the Family Liaison department, Yvonne Allen’s volunteering has been a blessing. She has the delicate duty of assisting patients and their families as they travel to various destinations within the hospital. Even the most anxious patient is put at ease when under her care. Her presence calms and reassures families, and her sincerity has touched many of our patients. Individuals often stop by to see Yvonne after their procedure, just to say thank you. She constantly anticipates the needs of everyone she meets, whether in the lobby, elevator, corridor, or cafeteria. She always knows just how and when to help, and she constantly manages to be in the right place and the right time when assistance is needed. Yvonne is one of this hospital’s best resources for caring and compassionate volunteer work.
More than 800 volunteers pledge their time and talent to support the mission of BWH. Five of them have been honored as Volunteers of the Year and will be recognized at a celebration on May 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the Bornstein Amphitheater.
