Natasha Feliciano
BWH mourns the loss of Natasha Feliciano, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at Brigham Circle Medical Associates (BCMA). Feliciano passed away on Aug. 11 after complications during childbirth. She was 29.
Ms. Feliciano joined BWH in 2011. In addition to caring for patients at BCMA, she rotated to different primary care practices and specialty services throughout BWH, supporting and mentoring staff in learning point-of-care testing and specialized skills. Recently, she had been working her way through school and taking courses, with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. She lived in Hyde Park.
"Natasha was really dynamic and smart, and I knew she was going to make a difference from the moment I met her," said Stephanie Ahmed, DNP, FNP-BC, Ambulatory Nursing director.
Added Nora Osman, MD: "Natasha and I worked closely together, and I grew to know her very well. She was an absolute joy to work with and was exactly the kind of person we always hope to be around: eager to receive feedback, quick to learn and up to any challenge. She never shied away from hard work, and, because of her industriousness, eagerness to learn and ability and willingness to apply herself even when things were difficult, she quickly transformed herself from a beginner to a seasoned LPN. She was also beloved by everyone who knew her in my practice, our students and most importantly, our patients."
Added friend and colleague Stephenie Brown: "Natasha was the definition of humility. She was an incredible young woman dedicated to her family and friends. I was fortunate to know her on a personal level."
She leaves behind her fiancé, Dwayne Grant; her three children; parents, Jesus Feliciano and Lourdes DeJesus; siblings Jonathan and Blanca Feliciano; and many friends. Services were held in August in Dorchester.
