In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month and as part of BWH’s BluePrint Celebration, a new exhibit of touching, introspective photographs taken by breast cancer research champion Evelyn Lauder was recently hung along the Pike and in the Lee Bell Center for Breast Imaging. A reception was held to acknowledge the generous gift, as well as the work of the late Lauder. This is the first collaboration between BWH and the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA). Pictured above, from left: Katie Getchell, deputy director of the MFA; BWH friend, philanthropist and Women’s Health Leadership Council member Estrellita Karsh; BWH President Betsy Nabel, MD; and Myra Biblowit, president of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Following the reception, many guests attended the MFA’s opening of “Think Pink,” an exhibit of pink clothing and accessories from Lauder’s collection. The MFA’s exterior will be lit pink every evening this month as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
