Changing Landscape in Health Care, March 27
Don’t miss the next “Changing Landscape in Health Care” open forum, March 27, 5-6 p.m., in the Bornstein Amphitheater. This fourth forum in the series will be hosted by senior leaders Stan Ashley, MD, Jessica Dudley, MD, and Jackie Somerville, PhD, RN, who will discuss barriers to change and strategies on meeting future needs and answer questions.
Holy Week, Passover Services

Brigham Building for the Future
Real Estate and Facilities will provide details about the Brigham Building for the Future, a 12-story building that will integrate clinical and research floors, including the construction schedule, on March 29, 9 a.m., and April 11, 10 a.m., in the Shapiro Breakout Room, and April 26, noon, in the Bornstein Amphitheater. All employees are invited to attend.
The Science of the Brain
As part of the Cambridge Science Festival, the Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) is hosting a BluePrint event about how the brain functions in health and disease. BWH researchers will discuss disorders of the nervous system on April 16, 6-8 p.m., in the Shapiro Breakout Room. All are welcome.
Walk for Peace, May 12
Join members of the Division of Trauma, Burn and Surgical Critical Care and the Center for Community Health and Health Equity for the annual Louis D. Brown Peace Institute walk to support families who have lost loved ones to violence. To join, contact Randell Dauda at 617-732-6072 or rdauda@partners.org. The walk takes place May 12 at Town Field Park in Dorchester.
Lown Award Nominations
The Bernard Lown Award for Excellence in Teaching at BWH celebrates physicians who are outstanding clinical teachers. The deadline to complete this year’s nominations is April 1. The winner of the Lown Teaching Award will be announced at the 2013 Daniel D. Federman Teaching Awards Celebration on May 6.
