National Laboratory Week
National Laboratory Week begins April 2 and offers an opportunity to recognize the work and contributions of the hospital’s medical technologist and technicians, phlebotomists, and clinical lab support staff for their commitment to providing vital data that assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of BWH patients. Comprised of the Blood Bank, Blood Donor Center, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Tissue Typing, Pathology, Phlebotomy, Reproductive Endocrinology, Lab Control, the lab at 850 Boylston, Southern Jamaica Plain and Brookside Labs, the clinical Labs conduct average of 14,000 tests per day and generate an annual gross revenue of $146 million.
