For the 11th straight year, Partners HealthCare System ranked among the 100 most wired hospitals by Hospitals and Health Networks (H&HN), a publication of the American Hospital Association. The list is based on the Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study that measured the use of information technology at 1,314 hospitals for quality, customer service, public health and safety, business processes and workforce issues.
Partners is one of only five organizations in the country to secure a spot on the "most wired" list since its inception.
H&HN's analysis of its "Most Wired" data finds that patients at top technology hospitals have a better overall assessment of their care and that the 100 Most Wired hospitals have better outcomes on a variety of quality measures. This is the strongest evidence in the 10-year history of H&HN's Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study that information technology makes a difference in both the patient experience and the quality of care.
