Tom Walsh last month was named director of analysis and planning in the Center for Clinical Excellence.
"Tom has been a critical member of the analysis and planning group since early 2005 and has earned the trust and respect of senior leadership," said Michael Gustafson, MD, MBA, vice president of the Center for Clinical Excellence.
As a member of the analysis and planning group, Walsh has worked to support the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, Women's Health, Nursing and Patient Care Services, Research and many other departments and projects.
Prior to joining BWH, Walsh worked as a project coordinator for Cambridge Health Alliance's participation in the National Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Pursuing Perfection effort from 2002 to 2004. He previously worked at Westinghouse and GE as a design engineer and project manager, receiving green belt certification in Six Sigma. Walsh received his master's degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University and MBA from Boston College.
