BWH researchers from across several disciplines met to discuss the next “big science” questions in women’s health and gender biology research last month at the BWH Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology Retreat.
“The retreat provided the groundwork to identify women’s health and gender biology research priorities,” said Jill Goldstein, PhD, director of Research for the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology and co-chair of the BRI Center on Women’s Health, who led the retreat. “Its purpose was also to foster collaboration among BWH researchers.”
Participants discussed data resources that are being developed or are available at BWH and explored ways to capitalize on their use in new prospective studies. The center plans to initiate development of a large-scale proposal in women’s health and gender biology in clinical medicine.
