Celebration came alive on Francis Street last Thursday as hundreds of BWHers and those in the surrounding community gathered at the 15th Annual Street Beat.
The entrance at 15 Francis St. buzzed throughout the day with an eclectic assortment of entertainment, including a Middle Eastern Dance and Drum group as well as singer Nadine Chase of BWH's Radiology Department.
A steady stream of employees, friends, family and neighbors poured into the festival under a picture-perfect sky to enjoy the raffles, vendors, caricaturists and international cuisine.
“Street Beat provides BWHers and the community a chance to come together and celebrate our diversity,” said Jacqueline Ashby, special events coordinator, Perks Office and Staff Activities program. “Thank you to the many volunteers who helped make this year's festival a great success.”
The theme, “Many drummers, one beat,” was illustrated on bright yellow t-shirts with a logo designed by Brett Badolato, practice secretary for the Brigham and Women's Physician Organization.
