BWH physicians last month showed off their artistic talents by narrating the characters in Sergei Prokofiev’s classic piece, “Peter and the Wolf.” The performance had Nawal Nour, MD, MPH, of Obstetrics/Gynecology, wearing a hat adorned with red and black feathers to play the role of the charismatic bird, and Neurology’s Martin Samuels, MD, relying upon a decades-old manuscript to help him serve as narrator.
Nour and Samuels joined eight other Partners physicians, including Katherine McGowan, MD, of Faulkner Hospital, at the ninth annual Partners Night at the Pops: A Celebration in Honor of Our Physicians at Symphony Hall. With the help of instruments and props, each physician portrayed and brought to life a character in “Peter and the Wolf.”
Customized illustrations featuring the physicians in character were created by a local artist and projected on stage for the 1,400 physicians and guests in attendance.
