BWH staff are required to take off or cash-out a minimum number of BT hours each calendar year. Staff should refer to their paycheck for BT taken and BT requirements. Staff will have through December 25, 2004 to meet their annual requirement. If staff do not meet their annual requirement, the difference will be transferred from their BT bank to their extended sick leave (ESL) bank.
Staff may choose to cash-out hours. Below are the guidelines for this option: • Cash-out is limited to two times per calendar year; • You must maintain a benefit time balance of twice your scheduled hours; • Cash-out is in increments of 20 hours; • Hours cashed out do count toward your annual BT requirement; and • Cash-out forms are available in the Human Resources forms section on Pike Notes at: http://www.bwhpikenotes.org/HumanResourcesBenefits/HumanResourceBenefits.asp
