Hundreds of staff took part in the BWH Community Fund kick-off celebration to learn more about philanthropic opportunities and to enjoy a mid-afternoon frozen treat. CBS Channel 4 news anchor Liz Walker and renowned chef Todd English were on hand to dole out complimentary helpings of ice cream at Tuesday’s event in the Cabot Atrium. New England Patriots wide receiver David Givens also attended the event to sign autographs and pose for photos with his many fans at BWH.
This marks the first year that employees will have the opportunity to contribute to the Fund for Brigham and Women’s Hospital, United Way or Tobin School. By making a contribution to any or all of the three entities, staff can help to improve the lives of patients and families in the community in which we live and work. The BWH Community Fund drive will run until Friday, October 29.
