Carolyn Wythe – 45 Years of Service
Friends and colleagues of Carolyn Wythe, practice coordinator, Ambulatory Obstetrics and Gynecology, gathered on June 27 to celebrate Wythe’s long-time service to BWH. Wythe, who will retire this month, began working at the Boston-Lying-In Hospital in 1957.
Throughout her 45 years of service she has played an instrumental role in establishing and growing BWH’s obstetrical practices. Wythe is known throughout the department for her organization, teamwork and commitment to outstanding customer service.
“Carol leaves us with a rich historical perspective that she has gained over these last 45 years caring for the women in our department,” said Elena Sierra, RN.
“She has been our critical link to the foundation of this department,” said Maureen Fagan, RN. “As the department’s nursing managers, we appreciate all of the support and excellent service that Carol has given us,” they both added.
