The office of Boston Mayor Tom Menino has established a dedicated hotline for area residents concerned about logistics during the Democratic National Convention (DNC). The hotline, accessible at 617-635-2004, will address general questions and suggest route or transportation alternatives. Working in conjunction with the mayor’s office, the Bretholtz Center for Patients and Families will address questions specific to BWH at 617-732-6636.
Kathleen Gordon, director of patient and family relations, said, “Our staff is very resourceful in facilitating patient needs. With the help of other hospital departments, we will be well prepared to accommodate any additional patient needs during the DNC.”
The BWH hotline is staffed 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The city’s hotline is available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Transportation and other helpful information are also offered at www.cityofboston.gov/Info2004/transportation.asp -or- www.boston04.com.
