Taking Steps and Making Choices: A Look at Research in Women’s Health After 50 Brandeis University, Hassenfeld Conference Center • 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The National Center on Women and Aging is offering a day-long conference that will present the developments in research and practice that are altering our view of women’s health as they traverse the years after 50. Health experts (including Dr. Caren Solomon of BWH), consumers, and the media will examine health trends and challenges that face women as they age. ASCEND Program Quick Stops Cafeteria 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Information and applications for the ASCEND (A Supportive Curriculum in Education and Development) Program will be available to all employees at a series of Quick Stops. ASCEND offers the opportunity for interested employees to develop their leadership talents within a team structure guided by mentors. Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Partners HealthCare System are celebrating the week of June 19 as “Service Support Week.” Service Support Staff have played a significant role in helping to make Brigham and Women’s Hospital one of the top hospitals in the country. Service Support Staff will receive a stainless steel travel mug and meal coupon for the BWH cafeteria. Managers/Supervisors will distribute these gifts in their respective departments.
