BWH Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Campaign
This year’s seasonal flu vaccine includes protection against the 2009 H1N1 strain, but even people who received the H1N1 vaccine last year should get this year’s vaccine to protect them against all flu strains that are likely to be circulating this season.
Occupational Health Services holds walk-in hours for the flu vaccine at Neville House, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., except for Wednesday, when the clinic is closed from noon to 1:30 p.m. Vaccines are available as long as the supply lasts.
Again this year, all employees are required by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to document that they either received a flu vaccination or declined to be vaccinated by Jan. 31, 2011. Staff who receive their vaccine through BWH Occupational Health Service clinics will not need to enter this information into PeopleSoft, as Occupational Health will document it automatically.
