Physicians and researchers are reminded that the annual hospital United Way and Tobin School Fund Campaign is under way through October 25. BWH has placed its emphasis this year on participation and seeks to increase the number of staff and employees who give to the funds.
Money raised for these funds support a wide variety of programs. United Way touches 1 in 3 people in our communities throughout Massachusetts whether it’s helping to provide quality child care, after-school programs, job training or elder care. The Tobin School Fund supports summer camps, field trips, professional development, and donations of school supplies for the neighboring elementary and middle school.
“I give to United Way and the Tobin School Fund because I feel so very fortunate to have had the opportunities that I have had,” said Robert Goldszer, MD, associate chief medical officer. “Working here at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and supporting these efforts is one way I share that good fortune with others.”
For more information about the campaign, call ext. 2-6442 or about the Tobin School, call ext. 2-5756. Pledge forms are available from managers and supervisors or may be downloaded from BWH’s intranet (www.bwhpikenotes.org).
