Looking to save on taxes now and put money aside for retirement? The 403(b) tax deferred retirement savings program (TDA) offered through the Brigham provides you an opportunity to do both. If you are not already participating and would like information on how to get started, or if you are currently contributing but would like to review your asset allocation or have other questions about your investment options, call and make an appointment to see a representative from Fidelity Investments, TIAA-CREF, and/or VALIC, who will be at the Connors lobby, (lower level) on the following dates in April:

6 Thursday Considering adoption?
Ellen Glazer, LICSW, adoption and fertility counselor, will review the reasons why families may choose to adopt a child and introduce participants to the basics of the adoption process, which is often overwhelming and complicated. This seminar, sponsored by the Employee Assistance Program, will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Carrie Hall Conference Room and will discuss recent trends in both domestic and international adoption. To register, contact Maicharia Weir through e-mail or call ext. 7611. You will need to follow your department guidelines for approval. Please provide your employee number for registration.
National Alcohol Screening Day
BWH's Addiction Psychiatry Service and BIMA will be conducting walk-in alcohol screenings and showing an informational video on alcoholism. Screening will be held in BIMA from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. BWH patients, employees, and community members are welcome. If you have further questions, call ext. 6022.

Join Team Brigham on Marathon Monday, April 17
The 104th running of the Boston Marathon features 125 members of Team Brigham, 19 of whom are BWH employees. Support your colleagues by joining the Cleveland Circle Cheering Section (starting at 12 noon) and stay for the runners as they go by all day. Call or e-mail Miriam Krause (ext. 8981 or mkrause@partners.org) with your name, department, and home address to be a part of the fun.

The Women’s Health Leadership Forum presents “Life Transitions: A Healthy Start to the College Experience,” from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Cabot Atrium.
