Kevin Giordano, who previously served as administrative director for BWH Plastic Surgery, has been named executive director of the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital. He will also work as South Shore Hospital’s service line director for cancer care across the continuum.
Giordano is charged with further expanding the availability of expert cancer care to the southeastern Massachusetts community. He will work in partnership with community-based physicians, the cancer care team, patient/family advisors and colleagues at Dana-Farber, the Brigham and South Shore Hospital to advance the care that is provided to patients across our regional continuum.
In his previous role at BWH, Giordano oversaw all managerial aspects of the Division of Plastic Surgery, including five clinical practice locations, four research laboratories, a multi-hospital residency program, a multi-disciplinary ambulatory procedure center and a wound care center.
Prior to that, he was director of the cancer intelligence program at Sg2, a health care research and consulting firm, and a group administrator at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Giordano earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and an MBA from Yale University.
