While it was the official slogan of the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center, “Opening New Doors” seemed to permeate the hospital as a central theme for 2008. BWH rang in the new year with the opening of the DF/BWCC at Milford Regional Medical Center and concluded 2008 with the opening of the new hospital gift shop. Take a look back at the highlights in between—including several research breakthroughs—that make 2008 an important one in the hospital’s history.
