Cynthia Peterson, MBA, last week joined BWH as the administrative director for the Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center at Patriot Place in Foxborough. (See BWH Expands to Foxborough.)
Peterson will be responsible for setting direction and coordinating with the operational, financial and non-clinical aspects of the multidisciplinary ambulatory care center, which will open in November. She will work closely with BWH and the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization to direct and support the planning and execution of all activities necessary to open and grow the new facility.
“I am confident Cindy will enhance our ability to create a successful operation in Foxborough while delivering on our goals to provide innovative and customer-focused health care services,” said Sharon Vitti, vice president of Clinical and Ambulatory Services at BWH.
Peterson brings a wealth of experience to this role. For the past 14 years, she served in leadership positions at Sunrise Senior Living, Inc., an international, customer-focused, premier provider of senior living. For more than five years, she served as executive director for a Sunrise community in Massachusetts, which afforded her the opportunity to experience all phases of opening a facility and successfully ramping and running the operation for five years. In 2001, she was promoted to regional director of sales and marketing for Massachusetts and Maine, a role in which she oversaw the pre-opening, lease-up and successful stabilization of four new Sunrise locations.
“I’m very excited to be part of the planning, opening and operations of this new state of the art ambulatory care center, and I look forward to working with a very talented group of people in doing so,” said Peterson. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to work with the impressive Kraft Group in bringing top quality care right to the community setting.”
Peterson received her MBA in health care management from Boston University and her bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
