The proceeds from the Second Annual Fun Run to benefit the Jock and Bunny Adams Research and Education Endowment at BWH were recently presented to BWH Chief Medical Officer Anthony Whittemore, MD, and Joseph H. Antin, MD, medical director, Bone Marrow Tranplant program. Katie Adams and Christine Salans once again organized the one-mile Jock Adams Father’s Day Fun Run and this year raised close to $1,500 to support cancer research and nursing education. The proceeds from the last two annual events have allowed an oncology nurse to travel to the Annual Bone Marrow Transplant Conference. Adams and Salans started the run last year in memory of Adams’ dad, who passed away in 1994. Pictured (L to R) below are Antin, Salans, Adams and Whittemore.
