The culmination of nearly three years of planning came to fruition last weekend as the much-anticipated BICS Modernization project went live.
“On behalf of BWH leadership and the thousands of BICS users, who will be affected positively by this project’s completion, I commend and thank the long list of BWH and Partners staff whose collective efforts brought about such a pivotal upgrade for the organization,” said Sue Schade, chief information officer, who was pleased with the small number of problems experienced during the first week following the upgrade.
BICS Modernization converted 137 integrated applications to a newer Cache technology, while maintaining the same functionality. The project has resulted in a fully upgraded computing environment with greater reliability, stability and ease of enhancement.
