All employees are invited to BWH’s Street Beat 2001 on Wednesday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the hospital’s 15 Francis Street entrance. Street Beat is held each year to celebrate BWH’s multicultural workforce. The annual summer festival will feature a variety of international food stands, entertainers and craft booths. Throughout the day, employees are encouraged to browse the multicultural presentation of craft tables, savor the ethnic flavors of Cuban, Indian, Chinese, Caribbean and American foods and enjoy the sweet rhythms of reggae, gospel, and rock & roll music. The $3 Street Beat meal tickets—to be stamped on the July 12 paycheck stubs—must be presented to the food vendors in order to be redeemed. Staff members who are paid monthly should have received their stamped coupons on their June paycheck stubs.
