Hope & Healing: Commemorating the Anniversary of the Marathon Bombings
BWH is planning a number of activities and events with the theme of "Hope and Healing" to commemorate the first anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. All employees who wish to participate will have an opportunity to reflect and come together with their colleagues in several ways.
Wall of Hope & Healing: On April 7, a wall of Hope and Healing will be placed in the 75 Francis St. lobby. Templates will be provided for you to write messages of thanks, reflections on BWH's response, the name of a person or team you wish to thank, or any sentiment you wish to contribute. These messages will be affixed to the wall, creating a colorful and meaningful display at the site of last year's Wishing Wall. Templates will be available at the wall, or you can download one via BWHPikeNotes.org/hopeandhealing.
Day of Hope & Healing: On April 15, BWH will host a series of events, which will be webcast and available on televisions in the inpatient rooms. These events will take place in the Bornstein Amphitheater, unless otherwise noted, with overflow seating available in the Cabot Atrium and the Shapiro Miller Atrium. Events include grand rounds with members of the multidisciplinary team, a forum to thank "unsung heroes" and reflections from patients and family members, among others. Visit BWHPikeNotes.org for the complete agenda.
