Kristen Orcutt, BS, RN, of Tower 15CD
BWH this summer mourned the loss of Kristen Orcutt, BSN, RN, a recent graduate, who joined the medical surgical nursing staff on Tower 15CD in March 2007. She died suddenly July 12, 2008, at the age of 24.
“Kristen was well liked by her colleagues, patients and families,” said Suzanne Silvernail, MSN, RN, nurse manager on Tower 15CD. “She made a difference to the many patients and families she cared for, and she brought a sense of fun to the unit. Kristen loved Nursing and enjoyed a wonderful year of professional growth. She will be sadly missed by everyone.”
One BWH patient called her an, “angel with wings.”
A resident of Wrentham after living many years in Medfield, Ms. Orcutt was the daughter of Janet and her husband Al Balestra of Wrentham and of Paul Orcutt of Sherborn. She was a graduate of Medfield High School and the West Virginia School of Nursing.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Orcutt is survived by her one brother, Jonathan Orcutt of Delaware, and her loving Papa, Jim Riley of Needham. Arrangements were handled from the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham.
A BWH Memorial Service was held on Aug. 4, in Carrie Hall Conference Center.
