LMR Update
The Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR) is continuing to be rolled out to many
of the remaining outpatient specialty and surgery practices at BWH.
In February, Otolaryngology started using the LMR along with GI in May, and
Neurosurgery and Behavioral Neurology in June. Coming this fall, General Surgical
Specialties, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Thoracic Surgery will be transitioning
to the LMR.
With the recent implementations, nearly 100 more physicians have access to
the LMR for their patient medical records. Clinicians using LMR have the ability
to use templates to record patient notes and also to reference inpatient history
and physicals.
House staff and clinicians are encouraged to use the LMR templates for all
patients. Obtain access by contacting Allison Benoit (abenoit@partners.org).
