Invitational Fellowship and Grant Opportunities
Each year over 50 postdoctoral and faculty fellowships and grants are available to the Harvard Medical Community by invitation only. A summary of next year’s invitational fellowships/grants will be available in early February 2000. At that time, the hard copy, known as the “Red Book,” can be obtained throughout the Harvard Medical Community from Department/Division Heads, Professors, Offices of Research Affairs, Women’s Career Offices, the Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, the Dean’s Office for Faculty Development and Diversity, and the Dean’s Office for Faculty Affairs. The Red Book will also be available on line. The present website,
www.ecommons.harvard.edu/administration/faculty_affairs, will be updated in early February 2000 and a new URL posted at this site to direct potential applicants to the updated version.
Scholars in Clinical Science
HMS is offering a postdoctoral training program in clinical science. Funded by a Clinical Research Curriculum Award from NIH, the two-year program, which begins in July 2000, consists of didactic coursework, a longitudinal seminar series, and a mentored clinical research project. Candidates must have an MD or DMD and have completed their clinical training; applicants with a PhD in a clinically related discipline are also eligible. For a brochure and application, contact Lauren Dewey Platt, PhD, at 278-0882 or via e-mail at ldeweyplatt@bics.bwh.harvard.edu.
