On June 16, more than 250 people joined in a celebration to honor Marshall Wolf, MD, who stepped down as director of BWH Medical Residency Programs in March. Wolf headed the program for 28 years, matching and overseeing the training of more than 1800 young physicians and shaping the program into one of the country's most sought after. At the ceremony, Wolf was presented with a two-volume scrapbook of letters from 150 of his former students, and his portrait, which now hangs in the Bornstein Family Amphitheater, was unveiled. Eugene Braunwald, MD, who served as chairman of Medicine from 1972 to 1996 and now serves as vice president for Academic Programs at Partners said, "One of Dr. Wolf's most important qualities is his steadfast advocacy of the medical house staff. He has championed their cause, provided multiple paths for excellent education, taught by example, and improved the quality of their lives." Wolf will continue to see patients at Brigham Circle Medical Associates and serve as vice chair of education in the department of Medicine.
