What's Your ‘One Shining Moment'?
As you reflect on 2012, is there one memory that makes you especially proud to call yourself a BWHer? BWH Bulletin invites you to share your "One Shining Moment" with the Brigham community in our annual year-end issue. Email your proudest 2012 BWH-related moment to BWHBulletin@partners.org by Dec. 15. Shining Moments will be posted on BWHPikeNotes.org, and a selection will appear in the year-end issue.
Want to Win an iPad?
If your work directly impacts patient care, you should receive email reminders from Pascal Metrics Support [PascalMetrics@jangomail.com] asking you to take our confidential BWH Patient Safety Culture Survey. If you have not yet completed the survey, please take seven to 10 minutes to do so. You can also download a flyer at BWHPikeNotes.org to post in your area to remind staff to keep their eyes open for the survey. Participants will be entered into drawings for iPads, parking passes and gift cards.
Please Take BWH's Commuter Survey
As required by the Massachusetts Rideshare Regulation, BWH is conducting a survey of how employees commute to work on a daily basis. The goal of the anonymous survey, which takes about five minutes to complete, is to design a program that helps employees find alternatives to driving alone to work. Those who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle for a number of prizes, including a Kindle Fire. You can access the survey at BWHPikeNotes.org. If you have any questions, please contact Robert Chicarello at 617-732-6001.
Town Meeting, Dec. 6
The next BWH Town Meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, at noon, in the Bornstein Amphitheater. The meeting will also be webcast. Visit BWHPikeNotes.org for more information.
Partners in Excellence Awards
Mark your calendar for the annual Partners in Excellence Awards Dec. 12, at 3 p.m., in the Cabot Atrium. This event honors award recipients from BWH, the Brigham and Women's Physicians Organization and Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center. The list of recipients is available at BWHPikeNotes.org.
Third Annual Winter Coat Drive
Make a difference and help keep others warm this winter by donating any gently worn or new winter coats to the boxes located at the entrances of 15, 45 and 75 Francis St., as well as outside the Shop on the Pike. The coat drive, which is being sponsored by the BWH Radiology Residency Program, will continue until Dec. 7, and will benefit the Boston Salvation Army and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
